First Full Day Of Rehab...

Jacoby had a busy first full day of rehab, filled with PT, OT, and TR.  Her biggest accomplishment of the day was making it into a wheelchair.  She was a bit nauseous but tolerated it well enough to head down the elevator three floors and to the Starbucks near the hospital entrance!  Of course, she was rewarded with a caramel frap, which actually seemed to help with the nausea.  The exciting part of this was that she had good blood pressure readings when we returned to her room.
Jacoby is receiving such encouragement from the letters she has received and wanted to send a big "THANK YOU" to everyone.  She made us read letters for about three hours today.  We made it through stacks from ECGA, Crystals, Grace, Garlands, and VEGA.  Next up is a huge collection received from all across the US!
In terms of her spinal cord injury, she has not regained any additional feeling at this time.  Please keep the prayers up!  We were reminded once again how blessed we are to have her with us as we ran into some old friends by chance... Cameron and Sarah Stewart are here with their 3 year old daughter who is in the fight of her life in the ICU after a heart surgery that took a turn for the worse.  Please keep this family in your prayers as well!

  1. How ironic...my family prayed for Jacoby and the Stewarts specifically by name last night. We live in a home that was previously owned by them in Puyallup. We continue to pray for both girls and God's miraculous healing hands upon them both; along with comfort, peace and patience for each family!
